This red brick labyrinth, perched overlooking Gulaga mountain and the ocean, was a true "worst house on the best street" challenge. Few would have been brave enough to buy and renovate this home.

The JJK team was lucky to conduct a building report prior to purchase, allowing us to provide early advice and help the new owners form a vision of the possibilities. After finalising the plans and receiving DA approval, we began the gutting and rebuilding process.

The result is absolutely stunning. The new home features two distinct living spaces which can be opened up for full house use or separated, providing flexibility for AirBnb rentals or accommodating visiting guests—a key element of the owners' original brief. The interior palette in the kitchen and bathrooms utilizes a dark green complemented by bronze accents in the fixtures and lighting. We are incredibly proud of this transformation, and the new owners adore their home.
